Sandy Flory

I offer a holistic, compassionate approach to therapy that goes beyond symptom management. By working with the subconscious and the nervous system, I help clients resolve anxiety, grief, heartbreak, and trauma at their source, creating space for clarity, relief, and meaningful change.

I am so glad you are here. As humans we hold a great capacity for growth and change.

I approach therapy from a holistic perspective, believing that as humans, mental and physical wellness is our birthright. I have come to know that our bodies are our allies and hold the wisdom that we need in order to lead us back to ourselves. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from California State University and a Masters in Counseling and Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

As your therapist, I will guide you into your body as well as explore the ways in which your thoughts, feelings and behaviors may be hindering or helping you on your way to healing. It has been my experience that in being able to tend to our more challenging emotions (such as anger, fear, resentment), we can open up to our preferred ones more fully (such as joy, delight and happiness).

My goal as your therapist is to make sure you feel seen, heard and understood. I have worked in private practice as well as in a school setting. My specialties include anxiety relief, masculine and feminine polarity work, work dissatisfaction, life transitions and stress reduction.

I use a variety of modalities including:

  • Mindfulness Therapy
  • Somatic Therapy
  • Systems Theory
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

Specialties include:

  • Anxiety relief
  • Depression/hopelessness
  • Relationship dissatisfaction
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief counseling
